With Dominant Pro, Thomastik-Infeld has reinterpreted the worldwide classic for the 21st century. While the original Dominant set the standard for five decades, Dominant Pro responds to the qualities in demand today: more projection, faster response, and a wider tonal spectrum.

The construction is built on a newly developed core architecture. The windings were revised to maximize tonal directness and richness at the same time. The result is a string that keeps the warm Dominant character but feels noticeably more agile and brilliant to play.

Dominant Pro is especially suited to violinists who like the familiar Dominant playing feel but need more tonal volume and faster response for solo and chamber music work. Several E string variants (tin, gold, platinum) and different D windings (aluminum, silver) allow fine-tuning to the instrument and repertoire.
