The Liebenzeller Metal Rosin is made from pure larch resin with selected metal additives, handcrafted in the Black Forest for over 50 years. The formula goes back to the research of Dr. Franz Thomastik and is still produced today in a small workshop using the original process.
The different metal additives (gold, silver, copper, meteoric iron) create different tonal colors that bring out the character of each instrument. All variants are characterized by even response, little background noise, low dust development, and insensitivity to fluctuations in humidity and temperature.
Available in different grades (I to VI) suited to violin, viola, cello and double bass.
- Gold I: For violin. Balanced, round and warm sound, at once brilliant and transparent. Very flexible, ideal for different tonal colors.
