Protection and climate

For the bassoon, BAM offers several lines, including L'Étoile with a leather lid, Panther with a rubberised surface, and Saint-Germain. The rubberised PANT3233XLN shares the same interior as the Hightech model. Among the leather versions is the Gentleman case ET3333XL.

An ordinary impregnation spray for Cordura and textiles protects the cover against rain, and a test on a small area first shows how the fabric reacts. If a zip runs stiffly, especially round the corners, silicone spray or a little petroleum jelly on the teeth helps.

The slider of a zip can be replaced as a spare part by the owner. Replacing a cover or a zip is carried out by BAM's production in France. A forgotten code cannot be reset on a combination lock.
