Protection and climate
With bows, length matters, as fine bows are usually a little longer than simple ones. The Trekking bow tube 9013 measures 79 cm inside with a diameter of 4.2 cm and is carried on a strap.
The bow responds to humidity too: on our violin bows, damper air makes the hair heavier by up to around 1 g.
