It strikes us as a touch firmer and more carrying than we expect from the Contemporary, without losing its coherence. As a Signature it is a little lighter at neck and scroll and reacts a shade quicker than the Heritage. A quick look once a week is enough: is the bridge standing straight? After a few weeks everything has settled; a short readjustment is part of playing in.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat humidity does the violin like?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e40 to 50 per cent at around 20 °C keeps the wood and glue joints in shape and the pegs responsive; up to 60 per cent is unproblematic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow do I care for the varnish?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAfter playing, take off the rosin dust with a microfibre cloth and no pressure; that is enough. Keep polish, tincture and alcohol away from the varnish.
